On this page, GFH HOTELS explains how we handle your personal data when you sign up for our newsletter to receive commercial email marketing communications from GFH HOTELS, which we'll call “Communications” from now on.
If you have any questions, you can reach us at info@gfh-hotels.it
WHY THIS POLICY?
Starting May 25, 2018, new privacy rules apply across all European Union member states, mandated by EU Regulation No. 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, which we'll call GDPR from now on), as well as national laws.
The GDPR provides greater protection for users and places new obligations and responsibilities on those who process personal data, including data collected through websites.
To learn more about the GDPR, you can check out the helpful and in-depth Section by the Italian Data Protection Authority: It will help you better understand the new rules and know your rights.
A fundamental principle is transparency: users need to know in advance, clearly and completely, what personal information will be collected, who will process it, why, and for how long, if it will be used for commercial purposes or profiling, if it will be shared with third parties, etc., and be able to effectively control how their data is managed.
This policy is provided in accordance with Article 13 of the GDPR and also draws inspiration from the Article 29 Working Party Guidelines on Transparency.
This policy is for users who sign up for our Communications by providing us with their email address.
Since signing up for Communications requires us to collect some of your personal data under the GDPR, below you'll find detailed information on how GFH HOTELS will process your personal data.

Giving us your personal data is totally optional! You're free to share it with GFH HOTELS or not, it's completely up to you.
However, we do need your email address to get you signed up. If you don't provide it, we won't be able to add you to our mailing list and send you our updates.

We won't use the personal data you've voluntarily given us to join our mailing list for profiling or any automated decision-making.

We, as the Data Controller, take appropriate technical and organizational security measures, following GDPR guidelines, to keep your personal data safe. This helps us minimize risks like accidental loss or destruction, unauthorized access, or any processing that doesn't align with the purposes we've explained in this Policy.
HOW WE PROCESS YOUR DATA
We'll process your data following Article 32 of the GDPR, using both digital tools (like computers and online systems) and traditional manual, paper-based methods.
We'll regularly check to make sure the data we collect is strictly relevant and not excessive for our processing purposes and obligations, and that it always complies with current laws.
